Care Assistant

Care Assistant – Doris Jones are a successful, family run home care agency, providing high quality care and support services to the frail and elderly people across the Southend, Essex area. We were rated Outstanding by the CQC in August 2019 – one of very few in the area. 

We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for Care Assistants, including either Full-Time or Part Time positions as well as evening and weekend work. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you are looking for weekend work. You will be working with our clients in and around the Southend on Sea, Essex area.

As a Care Assistant, your duties will be a variety of tasks supporting residents in their home, including:

• Washing, dressing and assisting clients with medication
• Helping prepare their meals
• Shopping and tidying the home
• On occasion, you might have to attend appointments with clients or accompany them on trips out and about. 

Skills and Attributes:

• Ideally you will have experience of providing support to those in need in their own homes (or a relevant setting) but we will also consider those new to the industry and those starting out on their career
• Essential that you hold a valid driving licence and have your own car
• You are passionate about providing the best quality care
• You can be discrete and respect confidentiality
• You are punctual, polite, respectful and courteous

Salary on offer is £9.30ph to £11.32 per hour plus paid travel time and mileage (depending on experience and hours you will be working)
